About the Owner

Robert Williamson is an innovator. He loves solving problems, as well as a mechanical challenge. Since he grew up without a lot of money, he quickly learned to fix things. Honing this skill also allowed him to build go-karts and race cars using spare parts. While he’s never taken any formal engineering classes, he has a lifetime’s worth of practical experience. As a child, he lived near the Tampa Dragway, and a friend got him into racing by teaching him how to construct a precision engine.

When something breaks in the shop, it gets repaired right away. But if it breaks a second time, an investigation is done to determine the underlying problem and how things can be improved overall. To this day, Robert still solves problems with racing in mind. As he said, “that’s because in racing, you just can’t afford to stop the car. The same is true in business with any production facility.” He’s also quick to praise his team of coworkers, saying they’re the reason he’s where he is today.
